A South Williamsport man was jailed Thursday following a disturbance at his ex-girlfriend's George Street home that began when his pickup truck hit her parked car while he allegedly was driving while intoxicated, city police said.
After hitting the vehicle about 1:30 p.m., Robert C. Sullivan, 30, barged into 1147 George St., demanding to talk to his ex-girlfriend, Jessi Cooley, who had locked herself in her bedroom, police said.
When officers arrived, Sullivan, of 155 Phillips Park Drive, was standing on Cooley's front porch, police said. Police determined that Sullivan allegedly was under the influence of marijuana.
Following his arraignment before District Judge Allen P. Page III on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, felony trespassing and driving with a suspended license, Sullivan initially was committed to the Lycoming County Prison but since has been released on $10,000 bail.
