Franklin D. Adams, 76, of 2090 Sheridan St., Williamsport, passed away Dec. 7, 2012, at The Gatehouse.
He was born April 1, 1936, in Exchange, Pa., a son of Daniel O. and Sarah F. Umpstead Adams.
Frank retired after 44 1/2 years from the former Schnadig Corp., was a member of the Harmonia Club, Young Men's Republican Club, Eagles No. 970, L.O.O.M. No. 145 and loved watching football and NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a half sister.
Frank is survived by his wife, the former Beverly J. Kragle with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage; two sons, Franklin D. (Karen) Adams Jr. of Williamsport and Kenneth W. Adams of Scranton; five sisters, Doris Rogers and Ora Mae (Martin) Winfield, both of Hughesville, Alice Aikey of Warrensville, Mary Lou Byers and Katherine DeWald, both of Exchange; one grandson, Brock D. (Tammy) Adams of Montoursville; and three great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Cameron Newpher and Joseph O'Shea.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, in the Montoursville Cemetery, with the Rev. James R. Sunderland Jr. officiating. There will be no visitation.
