Milton F. Meyer

Milton F. "Dink" Meyer, 83, of Loyalsock Township, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at the Williamsport Home.

He was born Nov. 27, 1929, in Newton, Iowa, a son of Jay and Octa Pickering Meyer.

Dink retired from Xerox Corporation, where he was a regional manager and owned Dink's Tavern. He served four years in the U.S. Army and four years in the U.S. Navy and was a Korean War Veteran. Dink was a member of the American Legion Post No. 1, VFW in Muncy, the Young Men's Republican Club and the Polish Club.

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Marie D'Ambrosio; two sons, Kurt and Brett Meyer and a brother, Frank Meyer.

Dink is survived by two sons, Craig (Lynn) and Klayt, both of Williamsport; a daughter, Marchelle "Marty" (Jeff Kistner) of DuBoistown; two sisters, Betty Lindsey and Barbara (Dean) Burkinholtz; seven grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville. Interment will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, Dec. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hall 100 Dementia Unit at the Williamsport Home, 1900 Ravine Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
