William G. "Bill" Fidler Jr., 52, devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend of Waverly, Va., formerly of Jersey Shore, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012.
Bill served his country proudly as a U.S. Marine and was an avid outdoorsman.
He way employed with Norfolk Southern Railroad for the past 30 years.

Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 17 years, Nancy Lee Fidler; two sons, Josh Sheffield of Dinwiddie, Va., and Nick Sheffield of Waverly, Va.; his parents, William G. Fidler Sr. and his wife Sue of Rauchtown, and Lois W. Koons and her husband Ken of Avis; two sisters, Laurie Fidler-Bower of Jersey Shore and Michele Eck of Jersey Shore; a brother, Tom Fidler of Jersey Shore; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his faithful companion, "Gizmo."
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Melvin and Sylvia Fidler; his maternal grandparents, Clifton and Irene Weaver; and an uncle, Richard Fidler.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 408 S. Main St., Jersey Shore, Pa., with Pastor George C. Grossman Jr. officiating.
Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service. Final interment will be held in Jersey Shore Cemetery.
