December 11, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

A city woman has been arrested on charges of allegedly stealing her father's handgun and a bank card, according to city police.

After stealing the handgun from her father's home at 1032 High St. in the middle of November, Kristie M. Hess sold it to a Pennsdale-area business for $90, police said.

Police also accused Hess of using her father's bank card at an ATM at Sheetz and withdrawing $200.

Following her arraignment late Thursday night before District Judge Allen P. Page III on charges of theft, receiving stolen property and access device fraud, Hess was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.

The victim in the case is Kenneth Hess, police said.
