Janet L. Kershner, 82, wife of 42 years to Fred I. Kershner of Montoursville, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Valley View Nursing Center.
She was born July 12, 1930, to the late Maurice Trimmer and Charolette MacGregor.
Janet worked at C.A. Reed and retired from G.T.E. Sylvania on Reach Road. She was a member of Community Baptist Church of Montoursville.

She enjoyed various hobbies like candle making, crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles and flower arranging. The last few years, she was a big fan of going to New Merchandise auctions. Janet loved to travel and enjoyed dinner shows in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
Janet is survived by her husband; three daughters, Debra Ann (Tom) Reed of College Park, Md., Patti Ann Duncan of Long Neck, Del., and Mary Kay (Robert) Kreitz of Williamsport. She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Community Baptist Church, 1853 State Route 87, Montoursville, with Pastor Michael E. Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call Friday at the church from 1 to 2 p.m.
