Melissa Lorraine Welteroth, 28 years old, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center, after a courageous four-year battle with Leukemia.
She was born in Lewisburg, Pa., on Jan. 12, 1984, the daughter of Michael Welteroth and Karen (Pegg) Welteroth of Montgomery, Pa.
Melissa was a 2002 graduate of Montgomery High School and graduated in 2007 from the Pennsylvania College of Technology with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a minor in Business Administration.

In addition to her parents, Melissa is survived by the "love of her life," Dan Winters; brother, Michael Welteroth of Montgomery; sister, Aprill (Welteroth) Siegel and husband, Steven Siegel Jr. and only nephew, Trent Ortiz, all of Tannersville, Pa.; her Nana, Iris Shoff of York, Pa.; and her aunt gram, Dolores Brennan of Montgomery. Melissa is also survived by her uncle and mentor, Greg Welteroth, as well as many other uncles, aunts and cousins.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Joseph and Letty Welteroth and three grandfathers, Allen Brennan, Preston Shoff Sr. and Donald Pegg.
Missy was employed at Big Lots of Muncy and most recently the Accounting Department of Gregory Welteroth Advertising of Montoursville. She loved her dogs (Aka, her children) Precious and Hooch, fishing, cooking, baking, volunteering and being with family and friends. She was also a huge (unhealthy) fan of "I Love Lucy." Melissa enjoyed life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 100 Walnut St., Montoursville. Interment will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations go to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, 110 W. Laurel Ave., Cheltenham, PA 19012 or to the National Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
