Lycoming County commissioners are seeking applications for citizens to serve on the Lycoming County Planning Commission and the Lycoming County Zoning Hearing Board.
The planning commission normally meets at 6 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month to take action on subdivision requests, land development plans and other matters brought before members at the request of the county commissioners.
The planning commission is supported by the staff of the Lycoming County Planning Department. Candidates must be full-time residents of Lycoming County and be willing to serve a four-year term.
The zoning hearing board normally meets at 6 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month to review and execute zoning matters brought before the board by the county zoning administrator. The agency has jurisdiction for the following municipalities: Brown, Cascade, Cogan House, Cummings, Gamble, Jackson, Jordan, Lewis, McHenry, McIntyre, McNett, Mifflin, Moreland, Muncy, Penn, Piatt, Washington and Salladasburg Borough.
The zoning hearing board also is supported by the staff of the Lycoming County Planning Department. Candidates also must be full-time residents of one of the municipalities listed above and be willing to serve a four-year term.
