Old Lycoming Township supervisors passed a 2013 budget with no tax increase at Tuesday's meeting.
The budget's expenses and revenues equaled almost $3 million for the general fund.
In other business, the supervisors also approved two development plans to allow the sale of Sunset Ice Cream to continue while construction of an Eyeland Optical outlet will continue and construction of a CVS Pharmacy can begin.
The properties from 1825 through 1849 Lycoming Creek Road, which all may receive new addresses, were dissolved from five lots into two lots.
Construction on Eyeland Optical, at 1831 Lycoming Creek Road, has finished almost and the new site could be used by January. The relocation only moves the business 60 feet.
Meanwhile, construction on the CVS Pharmacy will begin in the spring. The new location will be larger and have a drive-through pharmacy.
Lot consolidation was necessary for work to begin on the CVS Pharmacy because it would have been sitting on multiple lots.
The construction could not begin until John Fritz, owner of Sunset Ice Cream, was zoned to turn the back part of a building he already owns to allow for retail and light manufacturing.
The new store will feature new equipment to replace aging equipment, Fritz said at the meeting.
A small portion of the building will be available for larger quantity purchases of ice cream, such as half-gallons and gallons, but not smaller sales, such as ice cream cones.
Smaller sales will continue in other locations.
Demolition of Sunset Ice Cream most likely will occur later this month or next month, said Robert Whitford, township manager and secretary.
