Are you kidding me? Have you read this Sunday morning paper, about the man and his 8-year-old daughter, South Side residents, doing a wonderful family project, and because a neighbor is bullying him he has to tear it down because he did not have a permit for a garden box and has to pay $200 just to have his voice heard. These officials think it is nothing as though they are being bothered. We need to rally for this guy and his daughter. When you have children and are doing a great family project to benefit his daughter....I am appalled. Do churches, businesses with gardens and flower boxes have to have permits? Stick to your borough responsibilities, take drug addicts off the streets, clean up the deplorable streets, which you created, people with lawns growing past codes limits.
