Roland H. "Pop" Hall, 87, of Jersey Shore, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at the Gatehouse.
He was born Oct. 4, 1925, in Williamsport, the son of Roland F. and Frances M. (Campbell) Hall.
Roland was an U.S. Marine veteran. He served 38 months during World War II and received two Battle Bronze Stars.

He was married to the former Mae E. Trimmer with whom he shared 64 years of marriage prior to her passing on Oct. 9, 2010.
Roland was a 50 year Mason and a member of John F. Laedlein Lodge 707.
He was a life member of the VFW of DuBoistown No. 7683.
Roland was treasurer of the C.A. Reed Federal Credit Union and of the Bethel Presbyterian Church.
He loved gardening "Vegees" and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Sherrie A. (Bob) Effen of Williamsport; two grandchildren, Wendy (Barry) Enders of Jersey Shore and Ronald (Krista) Burkholder of Williamstown, N.J.; three great-grandchildren, Holly, Alycia and Brayden; a sister, Ann E. Stetler of York; also several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Jack, George and Robert Hall.
Relatives and friends are invited to Roland's Life Celebration service 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, with Rev. Wanda Minnick officiating. A visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park with military honors.
