Mayor Gabriel J. Campana turned over daily mayoral operations this week to city Police Chief Gregory A. Foresman after Campana's mother, Rose, suffered a heart attack Saturday.
Campana issued a news release to inform citizens he would remain at her bedside for the next several days and asked for thoughts and prayers for her recovery.
Campana said he will be informed daily by Foresman of the city's status and would continue to make significant decisions should they arise.
