Lauren Kay Hemrick and Matthew William Brown, both of State College, were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2012.
Gerald Hanscom officiated at the ceremony held at Wynding Brook Golf Club, Milton, where a reception also was held.
The bride is the daughter of Lisa and Brian Hemrick, Watsontown. She graduated from Warrior Run High School, Turbotville, in 2008 and received a bachelor's degree in biobehavioral health from Penn State University this year. She is employed by Geisinger-Gray's Woods, State College.

Brown is the son of Cindy and David Brown, West Valley City, Utah. He graduated from Cyprus High School, Magna, Utah, in 2008. He is pursuing a degree in crime, law and justice at Penn State University.
Following a trip to Puerto Morelos, Mexico, the couple is residing in State College.
