James R. Gordon, 73, of 133 JPM Road, Lewisburg, passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at the Evangelical Community Hospital emergency room.
Born Nov. 22, 1939, in Lewisburg, he was a son of the late Willard and Helen (Dauberman) Gordon.
Jim served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga from 1955 to 1959, and the rest of his working career was spent in the banking industry. He previously worked for Founders Federal Savings & Loan and PNC Bank.

VETERAN
He was a former member of the Williamsport Kiwanis Club, the West Branch Home Builders Association, and Travelers Protective Association. In his spare time he loved spending time in the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. He was a member of Bassmasters and North American Hunting Club. Jim was also a devoted family man and cherished the time he spent with them.
Surviving are one son, Timothy R. Gordon and wife Charlene of Allenwood; one daughter, Tracey A. Miller and fiance, Gene Lingle of Lewisburg; two brothers, Daniel Gordon and wife, Betsy of Wellsboro and William Gordon and wife Sharon of Cleveland, Texas; and two grandsons, Justin and Curtis Gordon.
Private graveside services at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery, will be held at the convenience of the family. Officiating will be Pastor Michael Hill of St. Johns United Methodist Church, Elimsport.
