Lycoming County commissioners formally adopted a $97.1 million 2013 operating budget. Voting in favor were Jeff Wheeland and Tony Mussare. Ernie Larson was absent.
Williamsport Regional Airport Authority members voted to approve its 2013 operating budget that includes a $15,000 surplus. Voting in favor were Mark Murawski, William Martin, Chris Logue, Atwood Welker and Rebecca Burke. Ryan Tira and Michael Hughes were absent.
South Williamsport Borough Council approved a $5 monthly increase to residential sewer customers, bringing the new monthly rate to $50. Those voting in favor were Jeffrey Tompkins, Ed Weinhoffer, Dan Cupp, Richard Harris, Henry Frey Jr., Robert Cronin and Anthony Mussare. J. Bernard Schelb and Benjamin Landon were absent.
Muncy Township supervisors voted to approve a $657,477, no-tax-hike budget for 2013. Voting in favor were Paul Wentzler, Thomas Schaech and Gregory Gilbert.
Loyalsock Township supervisors voted to schedule an informational public meeting on the possible regionalization of the township's sewer system under the Williamsport Sanitary Authority for 6:30 p.m., Jan. 22. Voting in favor were John Bower, Virginia Eaton, Rick Wheeland, Jeff Rauff and Marc Sortman.
City Council adopted a $21.1 million budget for 2013 with a 1-mill tax hike with a 7-0 vote. Voting in favor were President Bill Hall, Bonnie Katz, Liz Miele, Jonathan Williamson, Randall J. Allison, Don Noviello and N. Clifford "Skip" Smith.
Hughesville Borough Council voted to approve a $831,900, no-tax-hike budget for 2013. Voting in favor were Mary Burns, Richard Smith, President Jeffery Berger, Andrew Mook, James Savage and Curtis Michael.
Old Lycoming Township Supervisors voted to approve a no-tax-hike budget for 2013. Voting in favor were John W. Eck, Janet C. Hall and Linda Mazzullo.
