Lycoming County commissioners approved several reappointments to county-related boards and authorities Thursday.
Donald Hepburn, Melanie McLane and John Schon were reappointed to three-year terms on the county Agriculture Land Preservation Board.
G. Kent Bitner was reappointed to a five-year term on the Lycoming County Authority.
Judy Sarett and Ron Frick were reappointed to five-year terms on the county Industrial Development Authority.
Commissioners also approved a $367,489 contract to purchase a new computer backup system to be used by the county's information technology department. Samuel Harrison, department director, said the cost to replace the outdated county's equipment is a budgeted item.
A $4,274 contract with Keystone Communications, of Northumberland, for semiannual maintenance on flood gauge warning sites also was approved by commissioners.
A central processing officer position that reports under the district attorney's office also was approved. Timothy B. Nelson was hired at an hourly rate of $15.64 not to exceed 1,000 hours of service.
