Frank L. Bomboy Sr.

Frank L. Bomboy Sr., 98, of Unityville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Manor Care of Williamsport.

He was born Oct. 11, 1914, in Exchange, a son of the late Sylvester Wesley and Lordy Jane Bartlow Bomboy.

He attended school in the one room school house in Exchange. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the D-Day invasion. He is a member of the Millville American Legion Arthur Bardo Post 564, Turbotville V.F.W. Post 8206 and the Milton Moose. He enjoyed hunting, square dancing and farming.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife Emily Mordan Bomboy who passed away April 22, 1983; two brothers, Freeman and John Bomboy and two sisters, Edna Sones and Minnie Bomboy.

He is survived by a son, Frank L. Bomboy Jr. of Unityville and a daughter, Connie and her husband David Temple of Danville; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Lungerville Cemetery, 1700 State Route 239, Unityville, PA 17774, with Lucy Temple officiating. Burial will be at Lungerville Cemetery. Friends unable to attend may send condolences at bunnellfuneralhome.com. The family request no flowers be sent.
