This year was the first time my wife and I have been on the "Polar Express" here in Williamsport, we took our 1-year old son on the train and it was really a lot of fun. I was probably the only parent (other than my wife) wearing pajama's, I had to support my little one after all. The one thing I wish they'd change..it'd be nice if along the tracks they put up some decoration for Christmas.
It's not that I mind seeing the city but scenary is somewhat bland. But on the train itself the kids have a blast. With Santa, the elves, Rudolph(my son's favorite), Frosty, The Grinch, and a Teddy Bear, the kids had a lot of interaction. I have two pieces of advice. 1) Buy a ticket early, they sell out quick. 2) If you've never been a part of it before and have kids, be a part of it. Your kids will love it. I've never been a big "Christmas lover" but with my son and wife, I'm much more excited about the holidays these days.
Things like the Polar Express really help make it exciting and fun. I'd love to see more things around the city like this for the holidays!
