The Lycoming-Clinton Joinder Board received an $8,000 reimbursement at its meeting Wednesday because its workers' compensation insurance claims were low, according to Deborah Duffy, agency administrator.
The refund was delivered by The Hartman Group, 420 William St., which provides insurance services to Lycoming County government.
Board members also approved a one-year contract with Philadelphia-based law firm Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel to serve as attorneys for the agency's HealthChoices program, which provides managed care services for Medical Assistance recipients.
Duffy said the agency will reorganize its board in January. County commissioners from Lycoming and Clinton counties serve on the joinder's board of directors.
Board members also approved meeting dates for 2013, which normally will fall on the third Wednesday of the month at the Sharwell Building, 200 East St.
