I would like to thank the Williamsport Parking Authority for saving me cash by issueing a parking ticket to me.
After bopping around town shopping for presents and putting quarters in meters for 5-minute stops, I found what I was looking for; unfortunate for me, they were kind enough to wrap the couple hundred dollars in gifts I purchased, causing my meter to run out 15 minutes earlier.
The cities plan to discourage out of towners shopping downtown is working great; the next few stops I had planned with more cash to spend were, canceled hence the savings to me.
It surely wouldn't make sense to waive or even a little grace period for parking fees during Christmas. It's nice to see our government take the lead in this get all you can for yourself atmosphere.
