Evelyn E. Shaffer, 86, of the Williamsport Home, died on Dec. 27, 2012, at the Gatehouse.
She was born July 15, 1926, in Williamsport. She is the daughter of Harry A. and Helen Ely Dangle and was raised by Kenneth and Florence Dangle Ireland.
Evelyn retired from Brodart, was a member of Third Street United Methodist Church, and the South Williamsport Senior Citizens.
Surviving are her brother, Frederick (Carol) Ireland of Montoursville; half brother, Max (Dorothy) Dangle of Montoursville and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m., Monday Dec. 31 at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with Pastor John C. Baney officiating. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
