William Probst Rickard, 89, formerly of 17 Woodland Drive, Lock Haven, died Dec. 27, 2012, at the Lock Haven Hospital in Lock Haven.
He was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Lock Haven, the son of the late Lorenz "Blitz" Rickard and Ada Probst Rickard.
He married Lura Sue Elizabeth Wurster, his high school sweetheart, on Feb. 22, 1946, who died June 4, 2012.
He is survived by two sons, Steven W. (Lori) Rickard of Harrisburg, Michael J. (Michelle) Rickard of Williamsport and one daughter, Kimberly A. (David) Coleman of Lock Haven. He is survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, with Pastor Bruce Wallace officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Dunnstown Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. with a Hand-in-Hand Fire Company service at 2 p.m. and a Masonic service at 4:45 p.m.
