Two Lycoming County inmates have been charged with allegedly assaulting a third inmate at the jail, according to county Det. A. E. Diaz Sr.
Ataa Marzuwa Coleman, 24, of 1245 Freed Place, and Basil Salem Garcia, 21, of 626 Fifth Ave., have been charged with simple assault and harassment for attacking inmate Larry Travers Jr. on the morning of Oct. 14. The prison is at 277 W. Third St.
Coleman and Garcia have been arraigned before District Judge Allen P. Page III and recommitted in lieu of $7,500 bail.
Travers was treated at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center for injuries.
