Joan H. Davis, 75, of Middlebury Center, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, surrounded by family in her home.
She was the wife of Richard H. Davis, whom she married on July 3, 1954. Joan was born March 30, 1937, in Wellsboro, the daughter of the late Joseph (Petey) and Helen Mathews White.
Joan graduated from Wellsboro High School, the class of 1955. She was a beautician, she also worked for Dunham's Department Store and retired from Blast Intermediate Unit 17. Joan was a member of Middlebury Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Richard H. Davis, Middlebury Center; son, Terry Davis, Ft. Lauderdale Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin (Arlene) Davis, Washington, D.C.; son, Daron Davis, New York City, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sister, Marjorie Gesek, Plymouth, Pa.; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly (Clifford) Anderegg, Wellsboro; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph (Mary) White, Goose Creek, S.C.; several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to Joan's Life Celebration on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro, PA 16901, and then from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at the Middlebury Baptist Church. Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. in the church with Pastor Darryl Butler officiating. Burial at Fairview Cemetery in Holiday.
