Harriet Esther Weigle, 89, formerly of 800 block of Third Avenue, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Sycamore Manor, Williamsport.
Born Oct. 1, 1923, she was a daughter of the late F. Ward and Harriet (Brannaka) Ridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Emerson Weigle in March 2003; brother, Lindsey Ridge; and sister, M. Elizabeth Messner.
Esther worked as a hairdresser. She was a member of the South Williamsport United Methodist Church, and enjoyed spending time with her family and crocheting.
Surviving are her brother, George Ridge of Roaring Branch; sister, Alice Hughes of Brookside; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at the Chapel in Wildwood Cemetery, 1151 Cemetery St., Williamsport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Esther's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
