Aleada E. Embick, 72, of Jersey Shore, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 22, 1940, in Williamsport, the daughter of Robert J. Sr. and Aleada E. (Clark) Gephart.
Aleada was the wife of Lynn L. Embick, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.
She was a former member of the Assembly of God.
Aleada was a former member of the Viola Mae Rebekah Lodge No. 73 and she was a former Jersey Shore Girl Scout leader.
She was an excellent cook and enjoyed reading the Bible.
Surviving besides her husband, Lynn, are a son, Lynn W. (Sharon Criscuolo) Embick of Loganton; two daughters, Aleada E. (Timothy) Thompson of Turbotville and Christina M. (Seth) Emery of Lititz; four grandchildren, Ryan Thompson, Emily Embick, Sara Embick and Abigail Emery; one great-grandson, Brantley Byerly; two brothers, Robert J. Gephart Jr. of Jersey Shore and Donald Gephart of Lewisburg; a sister, Lorraine Manley of Williamsport.
She was predeceased by a sister, Eleanor Kerwell and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Embick.

In keeping with Aleada's wishes services will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
Arrangements are being handled by the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore.
