Hide a Squirrel toy provides fun while strengthening skills

Sometimes just laying around and having "the good life" just isn't enough. I am talking about your dogs.

Dog owners should want to work their dog's brains, and what better way than to tempt them with some squirrels.

So, as a holiday treat, my dogs tried out the challenging Kyjen's Hide-A-Squirrel toy (holiday version).

This plush tree stump has three holes and comes with three small stuffed squirrels that squeak.

All I have to do is pick up the stump, squeak the squirrels and place them inside the holes. Then, I put it onto the floor and the fun begins.

The dogs will dig and burrow their snouts to get the squirrels out. Once one is out, it's onto the next. My dogs just loved it.

Kyjen claims that the toy helps exercise a dog's natural instinct to search, stalk and capture its prey. They also said it helps strengthen eye-paw coordination skills.

This was a fun toy to make any holiday visitor smile and to make any dog happy.

Kyjen Plush Puppies Holiday Hide a Squirrel Large retails for $19.99 each and is available at Petco, PetSmart, Amazon and other online retailers.
