Florence May Kull, (nee Walters) 73, of Hughesville, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born Jan. 14, 1939, in Rieglesville, N.J., a daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy Shughrou Walters. On Nov. 5, 1965, she married the late Marlin Gene Kull, who died Dec. 4, 2005.
She graduated from Phillipsburg High School (N.J.), class of 1958. Florence and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm in New Jersey prior to moving to Hughesville.
She had also worked for the former General Cable Corp., Montoursville, and earlier in life, for Quality Packing in New Jersey.
She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy (Charles) Shire and Mary (Richard) McBride, all of Milford, N.J., a niece and three nephews.
She enjoyed gardening, embroidery, jigsaw puzzles and socializing with friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, in the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, by Rev. Max L. Walters Jr. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 p.m. till the hour of service. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hughesville.
