I would like to take this time to thank the city streets department for thoroughly screwing up Linn Street (among others) in Newberry. After many of my neighbors and myself spent the time to thoroughly clean out parking spaces, properly depositing the snow on our properties, at approximately 4 p.m. well after traffic had made the street more than passable, they decided it was necessary then to plow, negating all the work that had been done and making my Handicapped parking space totally inaccessible, I again want to thank you for your diligent work.
In this time of a municipal fiscal crises, don't you think the time could have been better spent clearing clogged intersections such as Cummings Street, Funston, Diamond and Pearl, Federal and Trenton Avenues, between Third and Arch, and many, many more, or even better yet, just put the trucks away and save that much more money.
