Frederick H. Ritter, 89, formerly of CPR Lane in Linden, died at Sycamore Manor in Montoursville on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, surrounded by his family.
Fritz was born in Williamsport on Sept. 28, 1923, a son of Lawrence J. and Anna W. Haefner Ritter.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and the owner of the former Ritter Gulf Service Station in Linden from 1957 until 1972.
Surviving are a son, Richard (Dawn) Ritter of Linden; two daughters, Nancy (Ken) Lietch of Jersey Shore, Judith (Bill) Brown of Avis; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leo Ritter; and two sisters, Esther Mussare and Louise Marchese.
His daughter, Carol Ann (Mike) Aldenderfer; three brothers, Paul, John and Lawrence Ritter; and three sisters, Sister Mary Grace Ritter, Helen Ritter and Ruth Mitstifer; all preceded him in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 100 Walnut St., Montoursville.
Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery with military honors provided by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County.
