Henry R. Saiers, 92, formerly of Woolrich, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, in the Altoona Regional Health System Hospital in Altoona, Pa.
Born Sept. 4, 1920, in Lock Haven, he was the son of Albert Saiers and the former Mary Jane Nihart.
Henry was preceded in death by his wife, the former Jean E. Krape, on July 3, 2004.
He retired from Woolrich Inc. in 1985 after several years as a truck driver. During World War II, Henry honorably served his country in the U.S. Army.
Henry is survived by two daughters, Barbara L. DelJanovan of Cogan Station and Bonnie E. Douty of Linden; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Henry R. Saiers Jr. and a great-grandson, Josh Snyder.
Graveside funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at 1 p.m., in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. No public visitation. Rev. David McCoy will officiate.
