Annie P. Bowen, 91, of Wellsboro, passed away Jan. 11, 2013, at Carleton Senior Care Center. She was the wife of Walter E. Bowen, who preceded her in 1988. Annie was born July 18, 1921, in Cammal, Pa., the daughter of the late Grover and Pearl (Holt) Stradley. She graduated from Wellsboro High School. Annie was a member of the Wellsboro United Methodist Church. In addition, she was a former Rebekah member.
Annie is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Dolores and James Paxson, Wellsboro, Pearl and Dwayne Bohnert, Loganton; a son, Thomas, Wellsboro; two sisters, Ada Johnston, Wellsboro, Mabel Krause, Blossburg; three grandchildren, David Paxson, Joseph Paxson and Paul (Heidi) Bohnert; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to Annie's Life Celebration on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Wellsboro United Methodist Church, Main and Queen streets, Wellsboro. Funeral to follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Val Rommel officiating. Burial in Tioga County Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made in Annie's memory to Wellsboro United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 547 Wellsboro, PA 16901.
