WELLSBORO - Bobbie Jo Hill, 26, and Donald L. Mincer, 51, both of 115 Bridge St., Antrim, were charged by state police with hindering apprehension and providing false information to law enforcement, after she allegedly lied to police about his whereabouts.
According to documents filed at District Judge Rob Repard's office, when police went to the residence on Dec. 19 to look for Mincer, who was a fugitive, they were met at the door by Hill, who told them she had seen him in the summer in Pittsburgh and that he had taken a bus to Las Vegas, Nev.
Police told her there were Clinton County warrants for him and that lying to the police about his whereabouts was a misdemeanor. Officers then asked her to confirm what she'd said, and she did.
Another person, Tina M. Miller, gave police permission to check the residence and Mincer was found hiding in a utility closet.
Hill and Mincer each were issued a summons to appear at a Feb. 12 preliminary hearing.
