South South man files guilty plea in theft case

January 18, 2013
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

Thomas Samuel Gonzalez, 46, of 486 E. Mountain Ave., South Williamsport, pleaded guilty Wednesday to a disorderly conduct charge after Old Lycoming Township police agreed to withdraw misdemeanor charges of theft, receiving stolen property and access device fraud.

The charges stemmed from Gonzalez making three separate gas purchases for personal use on a gas card issued by his employer, Foresburg Furnace, 1920 Mahaffey Lane, totaling $304 in mid-September, police said.

Following his guilty plea, Gonzalez was ordered by District Judge James H. Sortman to pay $595 in fines, court costs and restitution.
