Two new members of the Lycoming County Planning Commission were approved Thursday and one member was re-appointed.
Lycoming County commissioners voted to accept the appointments of Chris Keiser, of Williamsport, and Carl Nolan, of Armstrong Township, as new members of the planning commission.
Both men bring a strong background to the organization, according to Kurt Hausammann, county planning and community development director. Keiser is an engineer at Larson Design Group and Nolan is a local real estate agent, according to Hausammann.
Larry Fry, of Muncy Township was re-appointed to the commission.
They will serve three-year terms.
Commissioner Jeff Wheeland said there will be at least one but possibly up to three more openings on the commission at the end of the year.
Hausammann also told commissioners Thursday that his department will oversee zoning for Porter Township for the next two years. The township will pay the county $3,200 for the service.
Hausammann said the county planning and community development office has provided zoning administration for the last two years for the township.
