Mary M. Cohick, 81, of 594 Spook Hollow Road, Linden, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 22, 2013, in the Jersey Shore Hospital Emergency Room.
Mary was born April 3, 1931, in Balls Mills, Pa., the daughter of Tyson and Bessie Whipple.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Mearl L. Cohick, on Sept. 4, 1978, they were united in marriage in 1949.
She is survived by a son, Gordon M. (Kateri) Cohick of Linden; four daughters, Alice C. (David) Boatman of Dallas, Ga., Paulette M. (David) Knecht of Roaring Branch, Kelly L. (Eric) Glenn of Jersey Shore and Shelly A. (Shawn) Dyroff of Jersey Shore; grandchildren, Nikki, David, Brad, Andrea, Adam, Joshua, Shawn and Amber; great-grandchildren, Annie, Kendall, Carter, David, Kimber, Ella and Will; one brother, Theron (Bernice) Whipple of Aztec, N.M.; three sisters, Annabelle Wagner of Hollidaysburg, Irene Campbell of Williamsport and Judy (Andy) Trautner of Loyalsock.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Tyson and Wayne Whipple.
Mary was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at 10 a.m. in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call from 9 a.m. Saturday until time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Twin Hills Memorial Park. Rev. Helen M. Learn will officiate. Following the interment, the family invites everyone to the Jersey Shore Loyal Order of Moose for a luncheon.
