Jersey Shore Library offers

programs for adults, kids

JERSEY SHORE - The Jersey Shore Public Library is offering special programs for children and adults in the upcoming weeks.

In conjunction with Jackson Real Estate, the library will offer a program for potential home buyers called House Buying 101. This program will cover many aspects of home buying such as wants vs. needs, financing, negotiating, determining what you can afford, legal contracts and more.

You can register for Home Buying 101 by contacting the Jackson Real Estate Office at 398-1201, emailing Jim@MJacksonRE.com or by stopping in the office at 230 Allegheny St.

E-book download classes that teach the basics of how to download free e-books from the library's collection of digital titles will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 7 and at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 8.

Registration may be made by calling 398-9891. Both classes will be held in the downstairs community room at the library. Storytime programs are held at 10 a.m. every Thursday. A spring baby storytime session will begin 10 a.m. Monday.

Friends of the Library will hold the annual spring book sale Feb. 21, 22 and 23.

Christian Women's Club to hold brunch

LEWISBURG - The Lewisburg Christian Women's Club will be holding a brunch at 9 a.m. Feb. 12, at the Country Cupboard Restaurant.

The program will feature "Photographic Treasures" by Scott the Printer. Music selections will be presented by Jamie and Lori Dries.

The guest speaker for the morning will be Cindy McKee of Warren, presenting "A Timeless Treasure." There is a fee for the event with complimentary childcare by reservation.
