Twenty-seven members of the Montoursville chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America and the chapter adviser, Linda Keiser, will attend the 2013 Pennsylvania FBLA State Leadership Conference April 15 to 17 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center.
During the conference, the following students will compete with representatives from other Pennsylvania chapters for top honors in their events: Michaela Phillips placed first in Public Speaking I; Karen Schulte, placed first in the region in Accounting I; Andrew Akers placed second in the region in Accounting I; Sawyer Bressler, placed fifth in Accounting I; Aria Plants and Teri Stoner placed second in Business Ethics; Dalton Cristini, placed first in the region in Sports Management; Matt Krezmer, placed sixth in Sports Management; Hayden DeWald, Clay Stoner and Tanner Rolley, placed second in the region in Marketing; Brandon Flannery, placed third in the region in Spreadsheet Applications; Natalie Grieco and Gabby Horn, placed third in Desktop Publishing; Nicole Payne, placed first in Economics; Richard Hernandez, who placed third in Personal Finance; Brooke Miller, placed second in the region in Business Procedures and Nick Ripley placed fifth in Business Procedures; Jenalee Morris, placed second in Economics, Rose Morris placed third in Economics, and Emily Rittenhouse placed sixth in Economics; Gabrielle Phillips placed fifth in Technology Concepts; and Pierce Ranck placed third in Business Calculations.
The Future Business Leaders of America is a national career and technical student organization whose mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.
