Ann Carter Flock, 87, passed away January 20, 2013, in Charleston, S.C., from heart failure. She was born April 17, 1925, to the late Pearl Follmer Carter and John Luther (Bucky) Carter. She graduated from Williamsport High School and Dickinson Junior College. She worked for Coryell Travel and her father's paving company, M.L. Smith Company.
She was a member of the Williamsport Junior League, the YWCA, Loyalsock Township schools' parent and teacher organizations and St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Following moving to Venice Beach, Fla., in 1990, Ann was active in the Venice Community Theatre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Flock. Ann is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Howard) Daneberg, of Charleston, S.C.; son, R. Scott Flock of Winter Haven, Fla.; four grandchildren, Ashley Rosencrans, Adam Rosencrans, Leigh Ann Flock and Laura Arredondo. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Carter, and Isabella Rosencrans and Evan Scott Arredondo. Private services will be held at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or charity of choice.
