Beverly A. (Wheeland) Kleese, 73, of Cogan Station, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Valley View Nursing Center, Montoursville.
She was married on Nov. 23, 1957, to Donald R. Kleese. They celebrated 55 years of marriage together.
In the days when doctors still made house calls, Beverly was born May 21, 1939, in the farmhouse of Harrison A. and Margaret M. (Mosteller) Wheeland.
The delight of her life was her children and grandchildren. The joy of her life was to give her time and recourses to anyone who needed a helping hand.
Beverly was a former member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
She attended a one-room schoolhouse at Quaker Hill and was a 1957 graduate of Montoursville High School.
Surviving are her loving husband; four daughters, Linda M. Knight of Montoursville, Brenda K. Fessler of Hughesville, Margaret S. Bower of Montoursville and Rachel L. Campbell of Cogan Station; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carl E. Wheeland of Williamsport and John W. Wheeland of Montoursville; also two sisters, Saloma J. Dangle of Montoursville and Reta M. Poust of Hughesville.
Four brothers, Myrle, Robert, Dale and Roy, preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Trinity Gospel Church, 1010 Elmira St., with Pastor Joel Henderson officiating.
Interment will be private at Quaker Hill Cemetery.
