Two people, in separate cases, has been charged with shoplifting at Giant, 1969 E. Third St., state police said.
Monica Alice Brubaker, 26, of Northumberland, has been charged misdemeanor shoplifting after she was caught trying to steal $325 worth of merchandise on Nov. 21. Following her recent arraignment before District Gary A. Whiteman, Brubaker was released on $2,500 bail.
Timothy Charles Reichenbach, 20, of 652 Seventh Ave., has been charged with felony shoplifting after he was caught trying to steal $16 worth of merchandise on Jan. 16. He has three prior shoplifting convictions, police said. He was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
