Charles E. Hughes

Charles E. Hughes, 52, of Cogan Station, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 29, 1960, in Williamsport, the son late George L. Jr. and Hazel E. (Bubb) Hughes.

Charles was an electrician for over 25 years.

He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and a NASCAR fan.

Charles was a member of the 760 Hunting Club, NRA, the Red Run and Rod Gun Club and a life member of the North American Hunting Club.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Charles is survived by a daughter, Carrie A. (James R. Flanigan) Hughes of Williamsport; his father, George L. Hughes Jr. of Cogan Station; four brothers, Timothy A. (Alesandria) Hughes of Williamsport, Daniel K. (Jana) Hughes of Canton, Jeffrey L. (Cindy) Hughes of Cogan Station and Brian K. (Tracey) Hughes of Galeton; a sister, Karen M. (Gary) Lose of Sterling, Va.; six grandchildren, Levi Hughes, Austin Stugart, Alexis Stugart, Lance Stugart, Lennox Flanigan and Drake Flanigan.

Relatives and friends are invited to Charlie's Life Celebration service at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, with Rev. Richard D. Waters officiating. A receiving of friends will be from 3:30 until 4:30 p.m.
