John R. Ottenmiller Jr., 57, of Williamsport, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born June 8, 1955, in Williamsport, he was a son of John Sr. and Margaret F. (Lomison) Ottenmiller.
John was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He worked as a carpenter, carrier for the Sun-Gazette, and for the Census Bureau. John loved spending time with his family and enjoyed his two dogs. John was a member of the former St. Mary's Episcopal Church.

VETERAN
Surviving, in addition to his mother Margaret of South Williamsport, are his wife of 18 years, Virginia M. (Griffith) Ottenmiller; a daughter, Daisy Walter of North Dakota; two sons, Fred Clark of Williamsport and Charles Phillips of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren; four brothers, Robert, of Troy, Guy of Trout Run, Terry of South Williamsport and George of Montoursville; two sisters, Peggy Herb of Williamsport and Mary Ann Streibick of Pittsburgh; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harry.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
