The state Department of Transportation and the Pennsylvania Traffic Injury Prevention Project, with the help of the State Police and Lycoming County Safe Kids, will hold a child passenger safety seat check from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Old Lycoming Township Fire Hall, 1600 Dewey Ave.
According to PennDOT, crash data shows that even though a child may be restrained, the appropriate child safety seat must be used properly to ensure effectiveness.
Parents are encouraged to stop by the free car seat check to make certain their car seat is installed and fits their child properly.
