Frances D. Richards, 88, of Larryville, passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at the Jersey Shore Hospital Emergency Room.
She was born Feb. 9, 1924, in Linden, a daughter of Otto and Bessie Wurster. She was married to Paul O. Richards who passed away May 6, 1993. She was a member of the Larryville United Methodist Church and during World War II worked at Sylvania.
Frances is survived by her children, Jacob A. Richards (Michelle), John F. Richards (Jean), Carol Brennan (Kim) and Steven Richards. She also enjoyed her seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by sisters, Beatrice Stroup and Martha Frazler; and twin brothers, Edgar and Ethan.
Frances' Life Celebration will begin with a visitation on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Salladasburg United Methodist Church with services at 11:30 a.m. with her pastor, Rev. Kevin E. Brophy, officiating. Interment will follow in Salladasburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests contributions be made to the Larryville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 404, Salladasburg, PA 17740 or the local Meals on Wheels program, 1301 Clayton Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701.
