Larry Redington

Retired police Chief Larry Redington has announced his intention to seek the magisterial district judge seat in upper Northumberland County, which covers Milton, Watsontown, McEwensville and Turbotville and the townships of Delaware, Point, West and East Chillisquaque, Turbot and Lewis in the May primary election.

Redington lives in Point Township and has been certified to serve in the position by the Pennsylvania Minor Judiciary Board and the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts.

He retired as police chief from Northumberland Borough and was a member of the Point Township Police Department for 15 years.

He is a member of Susquehanna Valley Lodge 52 of the Fraternal Order of Police, Northumberland Gun Club, National Rifle Association and the Masonic Lodge 404 in Northumberland.

He is council president and a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Shamokin Dam.

Redington and his wife Barbara have three daughters and one granddaughter.
