Marian E. Murdock, 96, of Williamsport, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at her residence.
She was born March 18, 1916, in Williamsport, the daughter of Lester and Marian (Anderson) Murdock.
Marian was an active member of the Maple Street AME Zion Church.
She retired from the Mary Slaughter Home where she was a nurse's aid.
Marian is survived by three nephews, Ricardo Strothers of Williamsport, Henry Strothers of Northumberland and Samuel Strothers of Williamsport; also numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Lester M.; three sisters, Kathryn, Etta Frances; and two nephews, Delos and Fredrick.
Relatives and friends are invited to Marian's Life Celebration at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the Antioch Baptist Church, 514 High St., Williamsport, with Rev. Sam Washington officiating. A visitation will be from 9 until 10 a.m. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
