Parish announces services
Picture Rocks and Tivoli United Methodist churches will celebrate Holy Communion. The Rev. Jim Behrens will preach and celebrating the sacrament. Tivoli worships at 9 a.m. and Picture Rocks worships at 11 a.m. Ash Wednesday will be celebrated on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Picture Rocks chruch. It will be a parishwide service and ashes will be distributed. The Picture Rocks Parish is comprised on Picture Rocks, Tivoli, Point Bethel and Kedron United Methodist chruches.
Boy Scout Sunday
WOOLRICH - Woolrich Community United Methodist Church, 1080 Park Ave., will celebrate Boy Scout Sunday with Troop 66 Scouts participating in the service.

Pancake supper
PENNSDALE - Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Road, will hold its Shrove Tuesday pancake supper from 4-7 p.m. Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children (ages 5-10) and free for children 4 and under.

Lenten fish dinner
St. Joseph the Worker Parish will hold a Lenten fish dinner from 4-7 p.m. at the Fleming Center, 720 W. Fourth St. Tickets cost $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Takeouts available. Tickets are available at the parish office at 711 W. Edwin St. or call 323-9456 or at the door the night of the dinner.
Spaghetti dinner
MONTGOMERY - The Youth Group at St. John Lutheran "Brick" Church, Route 405, will hold a spaghetti dinner 4:30-6:30 p.m. Donations accepted.

Lenten luncheon and soup sale
Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, 31 N. Loyalsock Ave. in Montoursville, will hold a Lenten luncheon and soup sale from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. every Thursday during Lent through March 21 featuring hamburg barbecue and hot dogs. Soup is $5 per quart. Call 368-1863 to order.

Buffet-style breakfast
St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 2233 Linn St., will hold an all-you-can-eat buffet-style breakfast from 7-11 a.m. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 to 6. Under 6 eat free.
Dip meal
ELIMSPORT - Elimsport United Methodist Church, 16145 S. Route 44, will hold an old fashioned dip meal from 4-6:30 p.m. featuring roast turkey or baked ham. A "dip" of meat or main dish is $2.50, along with 75-cent "dips" of your favorite hot and cold sides. Takeouts available.
Soup and craft sale
A soup and craft sale will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the West End Christian Community Center, 901 Diamond St. Use the rear handicapped accessible entrance.

Youth retreat
MIFFLINBURG - Camp Mount Luther and the Upper Susquehanna Synod present "Washed in the Water: A Closer Look at Baptism," this year's synod youth retreat. The retreat is for youth in grades 6-12 and will be held on Friday and Saturday at Camp Mount Luther. Cost is $50 if you register by Monday. A late fee of $5 is added after that date. The firm registration deadline is Feb. 25, with no refunds after that. Each registered group should provide one adult (21 or over) for every seven youth and at least one adult for each gender represented. Cabin assignments will be made based on available adults and number of youth attending. More information, including registration form, is available at the camp website at www.campmountluther.org.
