Robert Bruce Kitchen, 92, of South Williamsport, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at the Gatehouse Hospice, Williamsport.
Robert was born on May 23, 1920, at South Williamsport. He was the son of the late Beaver and Elizabeth Catherine (Douty) Kitchen.
He was a member of the South Williamsport Independent Volunteer Fire Company. He was a life member for the Garret Cochran American Legion Post No. 1 at Williamsport.

VETERAN
Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in World War II. Robert was employed as a spot welder with the Keystone Friction Hinge Company of South Williamsport from which he retired in 1985 after 42 years of service.
Robert enjoyed going for walks, oil painting, keeping his journal and loved his pets.
Robert is survived by his wife, Helen J. Kitchen, of South Williamsport; two daughters, Donna (Pete) Zimmerman, of Warrensville, Debra L. (Robert) Lambert, of Boalsburg, Pa.; and a son, Keith (Jeanette) Kitchen, of Montgomery. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and his sister, Bernadine (Donald) Baltzer, of Williamsport.
Funeral services for Robert Bruce Kitchen will be held at 1 p.m. today, Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, 1 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport, Pa. Pastor Anthony Crawford will officiate.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
