Thressa DeSanto Rosato, 95, formerly of 722 High St., passed away peacefully at the Gatehouse on Feb. 6, 2013, while surrounded by her family.
She was born in Ralston on Nov. 13, 1917, a daughter of Rosario and Rose Lake DeSanto.
Thressa was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. She was also a member and very involved at the former Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church and the church's Christian Women's Society and serving as president of the society. She was also a lifetime member of the Sons of Italy Lodge 136.
She had been employed at the former Lucasi Display and was a former president of the PTA.
She enjoyed cooking, but her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Her husband of 60 years, Americo N. "Ricky" Rosato, died Oct. 27, 1996.
Surviving are her daughters, Mary Grace (Tom) Knepley and Anna Marie (Jim) Johnson, both of Williamsport; grandchildren, Ricky (Melissa) Johnson, Jamie (Stephanie) Johnson, Chris Knepley and Brian (Rebecca) Knepley; great- grandchildren, Lindsey Johnson, Nicholas Johnson and Miller Knepley and a brother, Ronald DeSanto of Williamsport.
In addition to her husband, five brothers, John, James, Robert, Donald and Charles DeSanto and a sister, Cecelia Vassallo preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. Fourth St., with the Rev. David Bechtel officiating followed with burial at Wildwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., with a vigil service at 7:45 p.m.
